Di-Cysgodion LIVE

Exhilarating sounds from a young quartet making waves on the contemporary jazz scene: Di-Cysgodion (dee-khus-god-ee-on), led by Welsh bass player/composer HUW V WILLIAMS, making waves in the capital and touring the North following their appearance at London’s Vortex Jazz club and a collaboration with Laura Jurd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKnrxDeOxd4
The line up consists of Mike De Souza and Billy Marrows both on electric guitar, Jay Davis on drums and Huw V Williams on electric bass.
Williams goes back to his rock roots with this instrumentation, exploring the sonic pallet from the view of a jazz improvisor/composer.

Having previously led projects with no harmony instruments, Huw decided to have a group which deals with harmony head on, exploring dense harmonic voicings paired with infectious rhythms and live stereo guitars. This music comes from a huge pool of influences, including Deerhoof, Ravel, Thelonious Monk, Super Furry Animals, Ornette Coleman, Hermeto and everything in between. A musical spectacle not to be missed.
