Rivers of York Art Exhibition by York Printmakers

City Screen 12th Jan – 7th Feb 2026

Rivers of York is a new exhibition of original hand-made prints celebrating The Foss and The Ouse in York.
The exhibition showcases the variety of printmaking techniques our members use, including: etching, linocut, collagraph, monotype, screen print, solar plate, Japanese woodblock, lithography and stencilling.

Each printmaker interprets the ‘River’ theme in their own unique style. Discover aspects of the Foss and the Ouse, and our take on their place in the history, ecology and culture of York from Roman times up to the present day.

The exhibition is on display in both the downstairs cafe and upstairs corridor at City Screen from the 11th January until 7th February, it is open to the public during all City Screen opening times.

Join us for Prints and Cake Sat 17th Jan

You are warmly invited to join us in the upstairs lounge at City Screen from 2.00-4.00 on Saturday 17th January to share our birthday cakes with us, find out more about the prints, and meet the artists who created them.
