York Death Cafe

Death is a fact of life and talking about it can be a helpful way of approaching a difficult subject.
At a ‘Death Cafe’, people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss this sometimes ‘out of reach’ topic in a safe and healthy environment.
We aim to increase an awareness of death to help people make the most of their finite lives.
Everyone is welcome whatever their knowledge, interest or belief. An open, respectful, confidential and non-hierarchical space for group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, advertising or themes, away from grief support or counselling.
