Farmers clear roads for care home staff after heavy snow

This act of community spirit followed the weekend’s heavy snowfall, which left the roads impassable.

Residents, staff, and emergency services were deeply grateful to the duo for their efforts.

Sue Carter, general manager at Boroughbridge Manor Care Home, praised the Tesseymans, saying: “We were so incredibly grateful and thankful to Richard and Charlie for helping to ensure our colleagues could make it to the home to ensure our residents were cared for and also for their loved ones were able to still visit, giving them peace of mind.”

Boroughbridge Manor Care Home is operated by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.

The Manor provides residential, nursing, and dementia care for 81 residents, ranging from respite care to long-term stays.
