So Unique opens in Darlington with help from Mayor and MP

So Unique, originally situated on Post House Wynd, opened its new location on the corner of Queen Street and Northgate on Saturday (April 27).

The shop was officially opened by Darlington Mayor, Jan Cossins, and Darlington MP, Peter Gibson.

Mayor Cossins said she was delighted to be invited to the opening and cut the ribbon.

She thanked the owners, Paula and Andre, for sharing the moment with her and made note of the shop’s loyal customers who “were waiting to get in.”

She said: “Yesterday morning, (Saturday 27th April) I was invited by owners Paul and Andrea, to open the relocated So Unique store on the corner of Queen Street and Northgate.

“The shop was originally in Post House Wynd, and I can undersrand why they needed to move to larger premises, the amount of fabulous items in there was amazing. If you go in, don’t forget there are more fantastic items upstairs.

“It was a delight to cut the ribbon and declare the shop open, also present were Peter Gibson MP and Kevin Hollinrake the Small Business Minister.

“Paul and Andrea gave me a couple of lovely gifts to raffle, to raise funds for my charities, at my forthcoming VE Day event on May 8th, they also presented me with a stunning bouquet of flowers, thank you so much.
