Hotels in York

The hotels in York offer a warm northern welcome to visitors. From cheap, but basic central hotels from big-name budget brands to luxury spa hotels on the outskirts of York is available.

Staying in the city centre allows easy access to the main sights, as well as a vast array of pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. Search for hotels within the city ring road, which follows the path of the York City Walls. Just outside of the walls are plenty more hotels, with budget offerings from well-known brands such as Ibis, Novotel and Best Western, plus a handful of luxury hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs.

With so many visitor attractions, York hotels tend to get full very quickly, especially when there are major events taking place, such as the Ebor Handicap at York Racecourse or one of the many festivals held in the city. York is also a great base from which to explore other Yorkshire cities such as Hull and Leeds, both of which are within easy reach. There’s nothing super about scouring the net for York hotel deals.
